The
Award in First Aid & AED is aimed at equipping participants with the
essential knowledge and skills to provide immediate help and potentially save
lives during emergencies. The course covers vital first aid techniques and the
proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will
learn to assess and manage a range of medical emergencies, including cardiac
arrest, choking, bleeding, and fractures. With a strong emphasis on practical,
hands-on training, the course ensures that participants build the confidence
needed to respond effectively in real-life scenarios.
This
qualification is assessed through practical evaluations and Multiple-Choice
Questions (MCQs). To obtain the certification, learners must successfully
complete both assessments and achieve the required passing score.
The recommended duration for this qualification is 4-5 days. However, the course may be extended to accommodate any additional learning needs if necessary, but it cannot be shortened.
