The
Level-2 Award in Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Use equips participants with the necessary skills to handle cardiac
emergencies. It focuses on vital life-saving techniques like cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) and safely operating an AED. Learners will be taught how to
evaluate a casualty, perform effective CPR, and use the AED to deliver
controlled shocks that help restore normal heart function. The course also
highlights the importance of quick action, strong teamwork, and following
standard protocols to maximize chances of survival in critical situations.
This qualification is assessed through
both practical evaluations and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). To earn the
certification, learners are required to successfully pass both assessments,
achieving the necessary minimum score.
The recommended duration for this qualification is 3 days. However, the course length can be extended to accommodate additional learning needs if necessary, but it cannot be shortened.
